Understanding the Process

Apostille & Legalization

For documents to be recognized in foreign countries, they often require authentication beyond notarization. Here's what you need to know:

Apostille (Hague Convention Countries)

For countries that are members of the Hague Apostille Convention, a single apostille certificate from the Minnesota Secretary of State authenticates the notarized document for use abroad.

Embassy Legalization (Non-Hague Countries)

For countries not part of the Hague Convention, documents require authentication through the U.S. Department of State followed by legalization at the destination country's embassy or consulate.

Our Role

We provide the notarization that serves as the first step in either process. We ensure documents are properly executed and formatted for subsequent apostille or legalization.
